Crystal Joys was started in the 1980's by Joy Renee Dudley, a Reiki Master and Spiritual Healer. It was originally a traveling store that would pop up at Renaissance Festivals and Psychic Fairs across the country and earned a name for itself due to the unique handcrafted gemstone jewelry. In 2014, Joy's daughter re-opened the stores in "brick and mortar" retail locations to continue the legacy of selling beautiful and rare semi-precious stones and minerals that bring "Joy" to people's lives and homes. Crystal Joys continues to offer a wide selection of stones, rocks, jewelry and metaphysical products. We sell over 1000 unique types of stone and mineral items. Our products are a diverse mix of imported stones and minerals from around the world in addition to a "Handmade With Love" collection of jewelry. Crystal Joys is known for our unique selection of gemstone home decor products, jewelry, and loose stones, each truly one-of-a-kind. All products sold through Crystal Joys are authentic semi-precious stones and minerals.

My name is Megan Ellis. I am a Reiki practitioner and the store manager of Arvada's Crystal Joys. I grew up in Michigan and worked with preschool and elementary school kids for eleven years with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Around 2008 I began studying many alternative health and spiritual practices like Reiki, yoga and meditation, and using crystals and essential oils. While living in Arizona, I completed a 600 hour program at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and became an Advanced Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master Teacher. I then moved back to Michigan for a few years and worked at a metaphysical shop called Ways To Wellness. I was the store's herbalist, Reiki practitioner and meditation teacher. My partner and I recently relocated to beautiful Arvada, Colorado and that landed me at Crystal Joys. In addition to managing the store, I will be offering Reiki services to this community.
Reiki is a method of stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. The technique was developed in Japan and is administered by the laying on of hands. It is based on the idea that all living things have a special energy flowing through them called life energy. When your life energy is high, you'll feel strong and confident, be more relaxed and centered and less likely to get sick. When it is low, you'll often feel tired, be more easily affected by stress and less resistant to illness. A Reiki treatment is a way of increasing your life energy. A practitioner will transmit Reiki to the client through the hands. A treatment can feel like a warm glowing radiance that flows through the body. It is a very relaxing experience and many clients report the body feeling heavy as it relaxes and yet the spirit or emotions feeling light at the same time. Reiki can assist us in returning to balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
